The Android 10 party is underway here at XDA-Developers, and everyone is invited. If you own a current-generation device like the Google Pixel, the Essential Phone, the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro, the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro, you can already try out builds that have been officially released by the OEM. If you use a relatively older device, including but not limited to, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 6, POCO F1, Redmi Note 5Xiaomi Mi A2, Mi Mix 2, Mi Mix 2SOnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T, Asus ZenFone 6/Asus 6z, Asus ZenFone 5z, LG G2, and the Xiaomi Mi 3, Xiaomi Mi 4, Redmi Note 7 and Lenovo ZUK Z2 Plus, you can try out an unofficial build of Android 10 through a custom ROM by following along the relevant hyperlinks. More users are invited to this party, as Android 10 custom ROMs are now rolling out for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro, Mi A1, and Google Nexus 5X.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro (device codename: violet) joins in the party with an early build of Pixel Experience based on Android 10. While a lot of the basic functionality does work, users have reported some issues related to device encryption.

Similarly, the Xiaomi Mi A1, which was launched back in September 2017, gets its own taste of unofficial Android 10 through an early build of Pixel Experience. There are issues with Goodix fingerprint sensor, the hardware button lights, Wi-Fi display, and some other issues. But for an early build on this older device, this is pretty good for trying out the latest treat.

If you are still rocking a Google Nexus 5X, launched back in September 2015 and last updated to Android 8.0 Oreo officially, you would be delighted to know that you can have some of this fresh dessert too. Unofficial Android 10 can be flashed on the Nexus 5X through this early build of Pixel Experience. Basic functions except VoLTE work well, but you can still expect to encounter some system instability occasionally because of the age of the device and the beta nature of the builds.

It is implied that these early builds, mentioned in this article, previous articles, and future articles, are not intended to be used as daily drivers as bugs do exist on these custom ROMs. Please back up your data before proceeding, and only proceed if you do know what you are doing.
