Android Dev Summit 2019 official app, schedule and livestream details are now live
In addition to Google I/O every year where Google talks about some of the major changes to the Android platform in addition to changes to its other products, the company also holds a separate Android-centric developer event in the second half of the year. Google I/O 2019 brought to us major announcements related to Android 10 (then Android Q), and we expect the company to speak much more about Android with a special focus on developers during the upcoming Android Dev Summit 2019. Google has now published further details about the upcoming event, scheduled for October 23rd and October 24th.
The Android Dev Summit 2019 will kick off with a keynote presentation from Dave Burke, VP Engineering for Android and others, talking about the present and future of Android development. This will then be followed by deep technical content from the Android engineering team, on topics ranging from the Android platform, Android Studio, Android Jetpack, Google Play, Kotlin, and more. The full agenda for the event can be found here. If you are attending the event in-person, we do recommend sticking around for the after-party too.
If you can’t make it to the event, Google will also be broadcasting the event live on YouTube and Twitter starting October 23 at 10 a.m. PDT. Viewers will also be given an opportunity to have their most pressing Android development questions answered live from the event.
Further, the official app for the Android Dev Summit 2019 has also started rolling out on Google Play. With the app, you can explore the agenda by searching through topics and speakers. You can also save events to your personalized schedule. You will also be able to watch the live stream and find recordings after sessions occur, and more. The app is also an Instant app, so you can even try it out before installing it on your device.
