Early last week, ASUS held a launch event in India for two new mid-range smartphones that our users have been very excited about. First up we have the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 with its 6.26-inch FHD+ LCD, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 mobile platform, RAM options of 3GB, 4GB, or 6GB, with storage options of 32GB, 64GB or 64GB, and an expandable microSD card slot. The device has a 5,000mAh capacity battery and will be launching with near-stock Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box but the company promises it will have an Android Pie update sometime in January.

Next up we have the more affordable of the two ASUS smartphones launched at the same event. This one is simply called the ASUS ZenFone Max M2 (so no "Pro" moniker added onto to the end of it) and it comes with the same 6.26-inch HD+ LCD. However, this time ASUS has opted for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 mobile platform for a little less power (and a more affordable price tag) while only having RAM options of 3GB and 4GB (so no 6GB choices here). The 3GB model comes with 32GB of internal storage while the 4GB variant has 64GB of storage with the added microSD card slot. The device also runs near-stock Android 8.1 Oreo.
