X Messenger Privacy Adds a Ton of Privacy Options to Facebook Messenger

Just a few days back, XDA Senior Recognized Developer rovo89 released an official update to his Xposed Framework—bringing compatibility to Android 7.0/7.1 Nougat. Since then, many developers have shown renewed interest in updating their Xposed Modules. While we were covering the open-source, fully themeable Frost for Facebook application the other day we realized that Facebook's other half—the Messenger application—had very little third-party support. Hence, we decided to turn to Xposed for some Facebook Messenger add-ons and we found that X Messenger Privacy has recently been updated. It's a Module for the privacy-conscious among us, and it offers a plethora of options to safeguard your use of the app.

With substratum advancing into the world of no-root, theming (or "ricing,") one's Android smartphone has climbed up the list of priorities. Although an extension to the popular Substratum theme engine, named "sungstratum," is live already, XDA Member satishtony decided to create a do-it-yourself theme creator called "themeDIY" for all Samsung devices running Samsung's official software based on Android Marshmallow or Nougat. That includes the flagship Samsung Galaxy and Note series, but also the J/C/A series of Samsung smartphones. There are hundreds of different theme possibilities using this new application!
Change the Splash Screen of OnePlus Devices with SplashInjector
A new tool called SplashInjector helps you to change the boot splash screen on all OnePlus devices (except the OnePlus X).
There are many ways to customize your device such as icon packs, third-party launchers, and themes. If you are rooted, you can also change the boot animation, which is the often colorful logo that appears before Android boots up. But there's also the splash screen, which is the very first thing that shows on your device before the boot animation. It lasts only a few seconds and usually just shows the manufacturer's name. Customizing the splash screen is usually more difficult than changing the boot animation or anything else, but thanks to a new tool for OnePlus devices, it'll be really easy to change splash screens.

DNA Dark is a highly customizable, free Substratum theme that probably contains most of what your device needs.
