Battery Utility Helps Preserve Your Device’s Battery Life

In the last few years, Android devices have really made some great strides when it comes to overall speed and device power. Our tiny (or not so tiny) smartphones now pack so much processing power that it’s not entirely unheard of for certain users to be able to use them as their primary computing devices–at least when on the go. One area where we haven’t seen such great advancements, however, is battery life. Perhaps due to consumer demand for thinner devices, there simply isn’t much space for a gigantic battery. And because we all want as many high power cores as possible, lower power designs aren’t favored. So what are we to do?

XDA Senior Member Theworld2020 created Battery Utility to try and alleviate the conundrum described above. Battery Utility is actually a combination of utilities, all of which are aimed at preserving your battery life. For starters, you are able to peer into your battery stats with great detail, showing charge levels and graphical representations of what is enabled at any time to provide even more detail than the stock Android solution. The application also allows you to set battery alarms that keep tabs on your battery level and health. And if you happen to be rooted, you can even tweak your CPU speed and voltage and more. Finally, Battery Utility also offers wake lock detection, various system level tweaks, and much more.

If you’re looking for an all-in-one battery saving application, head over to the Battery Utility application thread and give it a shot!
