Only Have $100? Here are the Best Phones You Can Get (Part 1)

Enough talk about flagships. Let’s scrape the bottom of the barrel and see what can be had for those on the tightest of budgets. Let’s find the best sub-$100 phone available. Because the reality is that while you might be forgoing a super-high resolution screen and amounts of RAM that some manufacturers still can’t take advantage of, ahem, there are a lot of really solid choices out there if you don’t have much to spend on a new phone.

At the end of the series, we’re going to crown the King of Sub-$100 Phones

Advances in technology (it’s the future, didn’t you know?) have brought component costs way down to the point where today’s budget phones are yesterday’s flagships.

Setting out, we had three qualifications for a phone to contend:

  1. Price, before taxing and shipping, is under $100
  2. Must run Android 5.0 or higher
  3. Include support for 4G

Over the coming weeks, Jordan is going to be spending a lot of quality time with the devices below, to the point of using each as his daily driver for a period of days. Look for future videos where he’ll be comparing performance, camera quality, and general pros and cons. At the end of the series, we’re going to crown the “King of Sub-$100 phones”.
