Incase Go 14-inch Laptop Sleeve review: A protective and versatile sleeve that gets almost everything right
Incase's Go Sleeve is one of the absolute best laptop sleeves you can buy, and it might even be the only thing you need to transport your device.
There are plenty of ways to keep the best laptops safe when you travel with them, from hard shell cases to soft sleeves. But whichever route you choose, you'll probably end up putting your laptop in a bag anyway. With the Incase Go Sleeve, there may be another option. The Go Sleeve is a quality laptop sleeve that pairs a soft and secure main compartment with a front pouch that can expand to hold accessories. Depending on what you need on a daily basis, you might be able to carry all the necessities with just the Go Sleeve.
Ever since I reviewed the 2023 model of the HP Spectre x360 13.5, just a few months ago, it's been at the top of our best laptops list. Indeed, it's always a constant battle between HP and Lenovo's Yoga 9i for that spot. But now, the HP Spectre x360 14 (2024) is here, and it comes with a new chassis, new internals, and more.
Chuwi MiniBook X review: Small, inexpensive laptop with one niche use case
While the rest of the specs are pedestrian, this laptop can work well for remote writers
I've always been intrigued by mini laptops. I work multiple gigs around the world, and the nature of my job means work tasks could suddenly come in at any hour. Having a small computer that can stay in a bag with me all day is highly beneficial. But most mini laptops I've tested are almost always underpowered with a keyboard too cramped for a fast touch-typer like myself.
MSI Prestige 16 AI Evo review: Trailblazing fast laptop thanks to Intel Core Ultra
Powered by Intel's new Meteor Lake CPUs and integrated Intel Arc graphics, the new MSI Prestige 16 AI Evo is one powerful productivity laptop.
While the name might sound like a mouthful, the new MSI Prestige 16 AI Evo is a really powerful productivity laptop. Coming with Intel's new Core Ultra CPUs, code-named Meteor Lake, under the hood, it is really different from any other non-gaming MSI laptop that I've ever used before. This device is also one of the few that started shipping right when Intel launched that CPU line on December 14.
Casetify Snap MacBook Case review: One of the thinnest cases on the block
Casetify has made one of the thinnest laptop cases I've ever used, which is definitely the case here
Apple doesn't offer many different color options for the best MacBooks, so you usually have only a handful of finishes to choose from. That's part of why people add stickers, skins, and laptop cases to their MacBooks for more personal expression. However, all of those solutions have flaws, from bulky cases to stickers that can discolor your MacBook's aluminum finish over time. That's where the Casetify Snap Case comes in, offering an extremely thin, hard plastic case in many custom designs.
Otterbox Lumen Series MacBook case review: A stylish option that's just too expensive
Otterbox's Lumen Series case for the MacBook Air has good looks and adds protection, but it comes at a price point that might be too much to swallow.
There are only a few MacBook Air colors available, and they don't have a lot of character to them. That's why people turn to great MacBook Air cases to add some extra protection and show some of their personal style on their laptop. But there's a lot to consider when buying a MacBook case, especially since some poorly made ones can actually damage your laptop. So, why not consider Otterbox? The brand has been in the mobile protection game for basically as long as smartphones have been around, and it has a great reputation. With the Lumen Series for the MacBook Air, Otterbox is breaking into the laptop case market.
UAG Small Tactical Brief review: A rugged and versatile laptop bag for a niche audience
Many tech products claim to be "rugged" and "durable," but this laptop bag actually has the chops to back it up.
Rugged is a term that’s often overused and exaggerated in tech products. It's kind of like how the iPhone 15 Pro or Pixel 8 Pro are named professional, but are really just higher-end models occasionally used as status symbols. While it's easy to make something look rugged, it's much harder to make a durable product that actually holds up well over time. Taking one look at Urban Armor Gear's Small Tactical Brief quickly reveals that it has the rugged design covered.
Lenovo ThinkPad T14s (Gen 4) review: A more mobile version of the T14 workhorse
The fourth-generation ThinkPad T14s hasn't changed much compared to its predecessors, but it remains a stalwart option for professionals
Lenovo's ThinkPad T14s, now in its fourth generation for 2023, launched earlier this year after an unveiling at MWC. It was revealed alongside its ThinkPad T14 sibling, which is a more affordable but thicker and heavier alternative (among other minor differences). The "s" in the T14s signifies its slimmer design, which is ideal for those who need a workhorse business laptop that's easier to carry on flights or back and forth between the home and office.
UAG Lucent Series MacBook case review: A simple plastic case for your laptop
UAG's Lucent series case for the MacBook Air ditches the company's rugged design language for a more subdued look.
There are plenty of great cases for the M2 MacBook Air, but finding the right one can be tricky. The MacBook Air is one of the best-looking laptops on the market, with a thin and modern design. That means you won't want to cover it up with a case that looks cheap and flimsy. More importantly, the wrong case could cause more harm than good, depending on how it clamps onto your MacBook. If you're looking for a good one, you might turn to Urban Armor Gear, a company known for making premium and durable mobile cases.
The HP Spectre Foldable is one of the coolest PCs that I've reviewed in a while. It's still one of the first foldable laptops to actually ship, with the first one ever being Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 Fold. But HP's Spectre Foldable feels a lot more mature.
HP Omen 16 (2023) review: A great value if you can handle its shortcomings
The Omen 16 gets a makeover for 2023, with better cooling, powerful hardware, and an FHD webcam. Is it a better buy than Victus or Omen Transcend?
It's no longer enough for high-end laptops to focus on just one thing, like gaming. Many manufacturers have made changes over the years to ensure their devices appeal to a wider range of users. We can look at the Lenovo Legion gaming laptop lineup as an example, which has long since moved to taller displays with a 16:10 aspect ratio, higher-end webcams, and generous connectivity with a rear port layout for easier cable management.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga (Gen 8) review: A business convertible without compromises
The convertible ThinkPad X1 Yoga has now entered its eighth generation, and it's holding strong as the best business convertible around.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga, refreshed for its eighth generation in 2023, can be viewed as the convertible counterpart to the ThinkPad X1 Carbon. It's one of the most premium laptops that Lenovo has to offer, with an eye-watering starter price that doesn't get any more reasonable as you add performance and features.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 review: Still finding ways to improve the best business laptop
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon is better than ever as it enters its 11th generation.
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon is Lenovo's flagship premium business ultrabook, sitting at the top of the best Lenovo laptops alongside the convertible ThinkPad X1 Yoga. The X1 Carbon is now in its 11th generation, with refinements to the look, feel, and performance. This is the laptop I always recommend first to busy professionals, at least as long as they have fairly deep pockets.
The Alienware m16 R1 is a powerful gaming laptop that can deliver an enjoyable gaming experience. It's not as sleek as its sibling, the Alienware x16, but that's a good thing. While the x16 was built with portability in mind, the m16 is all about performance, so it runs pretty hot and needs all the cooling possible. My review unit has an Intel Core i9-13900HX and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 GPU, which isn't the highest-tier variant, and it still runs extremely hot with frustratingly loud fans. That said, it certainly lives up to its performance moniker and leaves very little room to complain about otherwise. There are plenty of other things that make it a great gaming laptop overall, but it's sure to burn a huge hole in your wallet.
HP Omen 16 (2022) review: Great for gaming, but not much else
HP's latest gaming laptop packs a lot of power and a capable cooling system for all your gaming needs, as long as you stay plugged in.
HP's Omen brand makes some great gaming laptops, and the 2022 Omen 16 is another great addition to the lineup. This model packs 12th-generation Intel Core processors and up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, which can handle just about any game, even on this very sharp Quad HD display. The cooling system also helps with that, and it can move a lot of air around, though it can get a bit loud when it goes full throttle.
Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga (2023) review: A performance update with few other changes
Lenovo updated the fourth-gen ThinkPad L13 Yoga with new processors and RAM, but the rest remains mostly the same.
Lenovo's L-series of ThinkPads include clamshell and convertible models designed to suit professionals on the move. They aren't as expensive as many of the best ThinkPads, with the L13 Yoga (Gen 4) I'm reviewing here sitting at a price between $1,200 and $1,600. The lower cost means you miss out on some of the advanced features compared to more expensive ThinkPads, but you still get proven durability, class-leading keyboard, plenty of security, and snappy performance with competitive battery life.
Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i 15 (2023) review: A value-packed laptop
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 15 isn't the most sophisticated laptop, but it does pack a lot of value for $330.
The best laptops you can buy are often the most expensive. Usually priced at over $1,000, you get bang for your buck with fancy features like a high-resolution display, a large trackpad, touch screen or pen support, and so much more. But none of that matters if you're on a budget and need a cheap laptop. You probably just want something to browse the web or complete office work on, and that's it. Well, look no further than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i 15 (2023).
Lenovo Legion Slim 5 16 (2023) review: A thinner Legion Pro alternative that doesn't sacrifice power
The Legion Slim 5 16 (Gen 8) is a great bridge between portability and a powerful gaming laptop.
Lenovo's Legion series of gaming laptops offers some of the best gaming PC hardware available on the market today. The Legion 9i we recently reviewed currently sits at the top of our picks for the overall best gaming laptop, but it's certainly not the only Legion laptop worth your attention.
Lenovo ThinkPad E14 (2023) review: Big generational changes make this a top budget business PC
New displays, more ports, and super performance make this a better value than ever
The budget-minded ThinkPad E14 is nothing new for the ThinkPad family, and it's been a popular choice for those who need the ThinkPad's trademark durability, security, and keyboard without spending thousands. Lenovo makes plenty of high-end ThinkPads and other great laptops — like those from the X1 series — so it only makes sense that there are some quality options at the other end of the spectrum.
HP Pavilion Plus 14 (2023) review: A solid laptop smothered by an already dense lineup
The HP Pavilion Plus 14 is the best laptop in the history of the Pavilion lineup, but it's tough to recommend against HP's other offerings
HP has always had a fairly expansive lineup of Windows 11 laptops. For budget users, there are HP-branded laptops that provide all the essentials at a low price point. A step up from that is the Pavilion, followed by Envy with the Spectre at the very top. Now, there's a new HP Pavilion Plus 14, which looks to fill the gap between the Pavilion and Envy lineups.
