If you fancy being able to control your Android mobile device via Google Talk, take a look at TalkMyPhone - an application developed by XDA forum member chm.duquesne.

TalkMyPhone is an open source application that enables you to control your Android device from Google Talk.  Similar to Android-Notifier, the features are pretty close except that on TalkMyPhone, you don't need WiFi or Bluetooth enabled. The app can be useful for those who prefer typing SMS on a real keyboard.

The idea is that TalkMyPhone will open a GTalk conversation with you and forward you the incoming SMS, notify you of incoming calls and your battery state.  Additionally, using simple commands, you can reply to incoming SMS, send new SMS and read the last 5 SMS from a contact. Other useful commands include making the phone ring for example if you want to find it by sound, geolocalise the phone so you can find it on googlemaps, copy text to the keyboard and open any url.

All you need is your gmail account.

TalkMyPhone is available for free in the Market (a donate version is also available).  Head on over to the application thread to post feedback.
