Dell XPS 15 (2023) review: The best 15-inch laptop in a shrinking market

For creators, this year's Dell XPS 15 once again nails it.

When it comes to the best 15-inch laptops, Dell's XPS 15 has been at the top of the list for as long as I remember. One of the reasons is that it pretty much defined its category. Up until a few years ago, a premium 15-inch laptop with the power to edit videos was really something you'd either find in the gaming laptop market, or from Apple.

Dell XPS 13 Plus (2023) review: It still feels like the future

Dell's new XPS 13 Plus is an incremental upgrade to an already modern take on a laptop

Dell's XPS laptops are some of the best on the market. In fact, we've got two of them on our best laptops list at the time of writing this. One of those is this very Dell XPS 13 Plus.

An image showing the Alienware m16 display panel.

The Alienware m16 R1 is a powerful gaming laptop that can deliver an enjoyable gaming experience. It's not as sleek as its sibling, the Alienware x16, but that's a good thing. While the x16 was built with portability in mind, the m16 is all about performance, so it runs pretty hot and needs all the cooling possible. My review unit has an Intel Core i9-13900HX and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 GPU, which isn't the highest-tier variant, and it still runs extremely hot with frustratingly loud fans. That said, it certainly lives up to its performance moniker and leaves very little room to complain about otherwise. There are plenty of other things that make it a great gaming laptop overall, but it's sure to burn a huge hole in your wallet.

Dell UltraSharp 27 Thunderbolt Hub monitor review: Your new productivity center

The Dell UltraSharp 27 Thunderbolt Hub monitor is packed full of ports, a fast refresh rate, and great color accuracy for work and anything beyond.

Dell makes some of the best monitors you can buy, and it recently refreshed its UltraSharp lineup with a lot of new offerings. The UltraSharp 27 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor is part of that, and if you just so happen to have this display on your purchase list, it's absolutely worth the money. This 27-inch monitor packs a great 2560x1440 resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate (a first for this product line), and it is extremely well-connected. The color accuracy is also good, thanks to the IPS Black technology.

Alienware Aurora R16 review: A good but locked-down gaming PC

The Alienware Aurora R16 with the Core i9-14900KF is fast, but not as fast as it could be.

When it comes to PC gaming, Alienware (owned by Dell) is a big name, and it's synonymous with both high performance as well as high price tags and excess. Dell's recent Aurora PCs have received good reviews but exhibited key problems when it came to size, cooling, price, and even performance. The latest Aurora R16, which initially launched in August, at least partially addresses all of these issues, and now this powerful prebuilt is coming equipped with Intel's 14th-generation Raptor Lake Refresh chips.

Dell's UltraSharp lineup offers some of the best monitors you can buy today. The UltraSharp U2723QE, for example, launched in the first half of 2022, was one of the world's first monitors featuring IPS Black technology, boosting color and contrast beyond standard IPS fare.

Dell Inspiron 16 Plus (2023) review: A very capable laptop for almost anything

The Inspiron 16 Plus (2023) is a great everyday laptop, sitting between the XPS 15 and Dell's G-series gaming laptops when it comes to performance

It wasn't too long ago that I reviewed the Dell Inspiron 16 2-in-1, an excellent laptop for students thanks to the AMD CPU and the versatile convertible form factor. But Dell has since sent me the "better" version of that: the Inspiron 16 Plus (2023). This is a much more premium and powerful Inspiron device that you'd normally get with some of these great Dell laptops.

The Dell Inspiron 16 2-in-1 (2023) is a great Windows convertible for under $1,000, packing in a large screen, comfy keyboard, and decent AMD CPUs.

Students looking for a new laptop — or parents looking for a new laptop for a student — are sometimes on a tight budget. This is why, when shopping for a new device, you'll see many original equipment managers (OEMs) offering more price-friendly PCs. For example, Lenovo has IdeaPads, HP has the Envy line, and Dell has the Inspiron.

Dell XPS 17 2023-9
Dell XPS 17 (2023) review: The best 17-inch laptop on the planet

Once again, Dell built a winner with the XPS 17.

4
By

The Dell XPS 17 (2023) is the best 17-inch laptop on the market. It's really that simple. Part of the reason for that is because 17-inch laptops are somewhat rare, and a lot of them cater to more specific markets, such as gaming.

Dell XPS Desktop 8960 review: Powerful for work and play

While it looks like your average office or home desktop tower, the Dell XPS Desktop 8960 is anything but. It's plenty powerful for any task you have

Dell's XPS brand is very well known by this point. XPS laptops have always been on the cutting edge with new and innovative features, but if you're more fond of the latest desktop CPUs, and the best desktop GPUs, then Dell also has something for you with the XPS Desktop 8960.

Alienware x16 review: Powerful performance in a striking design

The Alienware x16 is powerful enough to run all your games, with plenty of RGB to show them off.

Alienware is one of the biggest brands when it comes to gaming laptops (and desktops), and for good reason. The brand, owned by Dell, has built up quite a reputation for delivering powerful performance and featuring an instantly recognizable design language. Although, Alienware laptops, like many gaming laptops, are known for being unwieldy. The Alienware X series in 2023 is meant to take things even further by packing powerful performance into a more compact chassis.

Dell Latitude 9440 review: One of the best laptops I've ever used

The Latitude 9440 has a striking design, a unique keyboard, and great software, which will be great if you can afford it.

By

After using the Dell Latitude 9440 for a month, it was hard to go back to using any other laptop. Against a Microsoft Surface, a Lenovo ThinkPad, an HP EliteBook, or any one of the best business laptops, Dell's Latitude 9440 is something special. Sure, ThinkPads might be rated as some of the best for their durability and versatility, but they're just straight-up boring. The Dell Latitude 9440 brings a fresh new take on a flagship and premium business laptop.

Dell UltraSharp 32 6K Monitor (U3224KB) review: The only monitor you'll ever need

The Dell UltraSharp 32 6K Monitor has a really crisp 6K resolution, a built-in speaker bar, and an excellent 4K webcam that might change how you work.

I've reviewed tons of great monitors, but one of my favorites was the Dell UltraSharp 32 4K Video conferencing monitor. It's not traditional by any means, but it has a lot of what I look for in an excellent productivity display, including built-in speakers, 4K resolution, and even a built-in 4K webcam. I always wondered though if Dell could possibly make this great product better. Enter its follow-up, the Dell UltraSharp 32 6K Monitor.

Dell Premier Collaboration Keyboard
Dell Premier Collaboration Keyboard & Rechargeable Mouse review: Challenging Logitech's best

Dell's Premier Collaboration Keyboard shadows Logitech's MX Keys but comes short in one big way.

Dell might be behind the best laptops like the devices in the XPS lineup, but you can't forget their computing accessories like keyboards or the docks, either. While Logitech dominates the market of computing peripherals, I'm starting to grow fonder of Dell. I recently reviewed the Dell Pro Webcam, and it had me itching for more Dell accessories to complete my setup at home alongside my monitor and my favorite Dell laptop.

Dell UltraSharp 34 Curved USB-C Hub Monitor (U3423WE) review: The best for the most productivity

The Dell UltraSharp 34 Curved USB-C Hub (U3423WE) is an excellent ultrawide monitor that can do almost anything. Almost.

When it comes to work or school, you'll often hear the word "productivity" thrown around a lot. After all, your boss or teacher does want you to get the most work done during the day. This is why from my many years of reviewing monitors, I'll tell you one thing: To truly be productive, you need an ultrawide monitor, particularly one with USB-C connectivity.

Dell Latitude 9330 2-in-1 review: Finally competing with the best

Dell's Latitude 9330 2-in-1 finally competes with its premium competitors.

4
By

The Latitude 9330 2-in-1 is the best business laptop I've seen from Dell to date. If there's one takeaway here, that should be it. In the past, I've complained that the relatively new 9000 series wasn't ready to compete with Lenovo's best ThinkPads and HP's EliteBook 1000 series, but that all changes with this device.

The new Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 (2022) is totally redesigned, which means it comes with some pluses and minuses.

4
By

Like many of Dell's flagship laptops, the XPS 13 2-in-1 (2022) is a great product and has been for a while. However, this year we got a full redesign, turning it from a 360-degree convertible into a tablet. Now that it's effectively a Gen 1 product, there are some compromises.

Dell Pro Webcam 1
Dell Pro Webcam review: A great 2K QHD webcam at a mainstream price

You can still get high-quality webcams with a lot of features for around $100, which is where the Dell Pro Webcam comes into play.

4
By

The interest in super high-quality webcams has really increased in 2022. It's why many laptop makers like HP push to include crisp 5MP integrated webcams with their devices. However, the best way to get around a built-in webcam, regardless of quality, is to just buy an external webcam. It's why you'll find super-premium webcams like Dell's own $200 UltraSharp 4K, and super cheap webcams like the $27 Logitech C720.

Dell Latitude 9430 2-in-1 review: A solid business laptop

Dell's Latitude 9430 2-in-1 packs the right features for a premium business laptop, including a premium build, battery life, and more.

By

Dell's Latitude 9000 series is meant to compete with the likes of HP's EliteBook 1000 series and Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 series. And while it's the newest of those three brands, Dell is really beginning to impress as the brand comes into maturity. The Dell Latitude 9430 2-in-1 is a phenomenal laptop.

Dell Latitude 7330 Ultralight review: Ultralight (mostly) without compromises

Dell's Latitude 7330 Ultralight is its lightest business PC ever, weighing in at just 2.13 pounds, and it's actually pretty great.

I really love what we're seeing with ultra-light PCs. Dell actually offers a wide array of products under the umbrella of Latitude 7330. This one is the Latitude 7330 Ultralight, and it weighs in at only 2.13 pounds. It's pretty sweet, packing Intel U-series processors, an array of ports, and a magnesium build.
