One of the biggest consumer-facing features in Android Pie is something Google calls “Digital Wellbeing.” This is a section in the Settings that gives users a ton of information about how they use their phone. You can see how much time you spend on apps, how long the screen is on, how many times you unlock the phone, and more. It’s a useful feature, but it wasn’t super easy to access.

Google has added a few usability features in the latest update to Digital Wellbeing. Users can finally add the icon to the app drawer, which in turn means it can be put on the home screen. There is a new toggle for “Show in the app list.” Google also added a Quick Settings toggle for the Grayscale feature, so you can quickly turn it on or off. There is also a new direct link to the Night Light schedule on the Wind Down screen.

The changelog also mentions “Visual improvements to the dashboard,” but those are nothing to write home about. You can download the app from the Play Store below or grab the APK right here and sideload it. Keep in mind that Wind Down and App Timers won’t work unless you install it as a system app. Are you using Digital Wellbeing? Has it changed the way you use your phone?

There is also a Magisk Module for Digital Wellbeing by XDA member Maxr1998. This module works on any device with Android Pie (there are a lot of ports already if you want to try it). Download the module below.
