Google's visual processing prowess is among the best in the Android ecosystem. That's why Google Camera ports are so highly requested for non-supported devices. Last month, we opened a new forum specifically for unofficial ports of Google's Camera application. We have already moved some of the most popular threads to this category and they've been fairly popular. The developers are trying to bring the best post-processing capabilities to as many devices as possible. One of Arnova8G2's latest Google Camera ports brings functional Night Sight to some Huawei and Honor devices like the Honor Play, Huawei Mate 10, and Huawei Mate 10 Pro.

Honor Play XDA Forum

Night Sight is a Google Pixel/Pixel 2/Pixel 3 feature which delivers incredible low-light photos thanks to advanced computational algorithms. It's based on the SeeInTheDark prototype and employs some HDR+ technologies to reduce noise and add just the right amount of white balance to make the photo better than it would've normally been. Users on our forum have pointed out that one particular port of the camera app by Arnova8G2 works well on the Mate 10 running Android Oreo, but we tried it on our own Mate 10 Pro running Android Pie-based EMUI 9 and it crashed, so your mileage may vary. If you want to get the best experience while using the camera, then try using these suggested settings.

The download link for the working port of Google Camera with Night Sight for the Honor Play, Huawei Mate 10, and Mate 10 Pro is available below. You should now be able to shoot better low-light photos than you were previously doing with EMUI's stock camera application. Make sure to compare these photos and let us know the results in the comments.
