MIUI 10 is the latest version of Xiaomi's MIUI custom user interface. It comes in two versions: China Stable and Global Stable. The Global Stable ROM is the better fit for international users. This is because the Global nomenclature means that it comes with Google Play services pre-installed. It also has many more languages available as compared with the China Stable ROM, which is intended for Chinese users. MIUI 10 Global was announced at the Xiaomi Redmi Y2 event in June. In the months since then, Xiaomi stated that Global Stable updates for Xiaomi devices would begin rolling out in September.
The company has lived up to its promise as the MIUI 10 Global Stable update is now available for many Xiaomi phones, including but not limited to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 5, Xiaomi Mi 6, Xiaomi Mi Note 2, Xiaomi Mi Mix, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, and the Xiaomi Mi 8. Yesterday, the recovery ROM was released for the Xiaomi Redmi 6. Today, a recovery ROM has been released for the Xiaomi Redmi 6A.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6A and the Xiaomi Redmi 6 are budget phones. They are placed below the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro in Xiaomi's device portfolio. The Redmi 6A is the successor to the Xiaomi Redmi 5A, while the Redmi 6 is the successor to the Redmi 5. The phones were launched in China in June, and they were brought to India earlier this month.
The Redmi 6A (device code-name: cactus) is a promising entry-level device as its list of specifications includes the MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, 2GB of RAM with 16GB of storage, 5.45-inch HD+ (1440x720) display, a 13MP rear camera, and a 3,000mAh battery.
