The king of budget phones, Xiaomi, released the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro only recently and with it comes a number of features that typically are found in much higher price brackets. The 2160x1080 18:9 screen, Snapdragon 636, 4/6GB of RAM and the 4,000mAh battery are all well above the price range of the device, and it's no surprise that there were some cut corners in order to make the cost achievable for the Chinese company. One of these cut corners, as tends to be the case, was in the camera. This was despite the fact that the device was advertised as "India's camera beast." The camera in budget devices tends to be lacking in some features, one of which is support for 4K UHD video recording. Thanks to XDA Recognised Contributor Vidhanth, it is now possible to enable 4K UHD video recording on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro.

To do so, all you'll need is root access and a root enabled file explorer like MiXplorer or Solid Explorer. Download the file explorer below and then check out the short tutorial linked below if you want to try it out!
