XDA Recognized Developer franciscofranco might have gotten his start making kernels for Nexus devices, but lately, he's branched out to a number of brands, including Xiaomi. This week, he released a custom version of FrancoKernel for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.

Because it's is a brand new kernel branch, it's being released as "revision 1" (r1) -- the number will increment over time as tweaks and changes are made. Builds starting with "r1" are for LineageOS 14.1-based ROMs.

The custom kernel is free to download and flash in a custom recovery such as TWRP.
