Today is Samsung Galaxy Note 10 day. The new Note 10 series is officially available in 70 countries and through carriers. Samsung has a habit of not making new features available until the actual launch day, which is what they did again this year. The Discord integration Samsung along with the cool 3D Scanner app are both available starting today.

The Discord integration lets you link your Discord account and your Samsung account so you can get a voice chat overlay no matter what you're doing on your phone. While they claim it's only there while you're in a game, it actually shows up everywhere all the time.

It's a bit convoluted to set it up with Game Launcher and Game Booster, though. First, you need to make sure all your apps are updated in the Galaxy Store. Then, you need to enable Game Launcher and set it up. There should be a notification in Game Launcher with a prompt to set up Discord. It'll bring you through the linking process and then show recommended Discord servers and what your friends are playing.

Samsung also released the 3D Scanner app onto the Galaxy Store today. This new version brings improved 3D scanning over what we saw Samsung release earlier this week. The app uses the TOF sensor on the Galaxy Note 10 to scan any object or person in 3D. It's not flawless, but it does work. If you scan something humanoid, you can actually have it mimic your movements like a creepy doll.

These features should be rolling out soon to all Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ users. The 3D Scanner app is exclusive to flagship phones with Samsung TrueDepth cameras. This means the 3D scanner app also works on the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. The Discord integration is actually rolling out to more than just the Note 10 series, but it will take some time to show up on your device. This feature is Samsung-exclusive, so the overlay won't work on any other device.
