The camera is the biggest selling point of the Google Pixel series. They might not have the best hardware or the best prices, but it’s hard to beat the camera quality. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL continue to carry the torch and added some new features as well. Night Sight has been the most noteworthy addition, but it wasn’t available at launch. Today, Google has officially announced that Night Sight will be available in the Google Camera app for the Pixel 3, Pixel 2, and Pixel.

If you’re an avid reader of XDA, you may already have Night Sight on your device. We were able to get a working APK last month and it has been ported to a number of devices already, including the Pixel devices of course. Google said Night Sight would be available sometime “next month,” and that time is right now. Night Sight will finally begin to roll out for the Pixel 3, Pixel 2, and Pixel devices.

Night Sight on Google Camera is an amazing feature. We have been blown away by the results in our testings. It really does work as well as Google demonstrated on the Pixel 3. You can take a photo in a nearly pitch-black environment and the result will blow you away, as shown below.

The Night Sight feature is coming in an update to the Google Camera app which will roll out for all 3 generations of Google Pixel smartphones—the Google Pixel 3, Google Pixel 3 XL, Google Pixel 2, Google Pixel 2 XL, Google Pixel, and Google Pixel XL. You can find it by opening the camera app, swiping to the “more” tab, and selecting “Night.” Google Camera will also suggest when to use Night Sight whenever you’re in a particularly low-light situation.
