At the tail end of last month, we announced a dedicated forum for all of the Google Camera ports we had been seeing from the generous developer community. The forum has only been open for a couple of weeks so it looks a bit bare right now, but activity is picking up and some LG smartphone owners are having their chance in the spotlight. The Google Camera has made massive improvements to a lot of smartphones and now we have a port (which includes support for Night Sight) for the LG G6, LG V20 LG V30, and the LG V35 ThinQ.

LG hasn't really slacked in the camera department and the company's V series has some exclusive features that you won't see on other devices. Still, when it comes to the simple point and click photos, it is difficult to beat the Google Camera. The Night Sight feature included in this port from XDA Senior Member cstark27 makes it even better for these supported LG devices. So, if you own the LG G6, LG V20, LG V30, or the LG V35 then you may want to check out this APK to see if you like the image quality better than the stock camera.

XDA Member CooLasFcuK was even able to take some before and after photos using this Google Camera port to show off how impressive Night Sight can be. So we have the first photo taken with the stock LG V30 camera with the exposure set to 1 second, while the second photo shows how the scene looks with Night Sight enabled in the Google Camera port.

The Google Camera port technically works on the LG G7 ThinQ and the LG V40 ThinQ as well, but as of right now things are a bit unstable. Owners of these phones will want to stay updated with this thread in case the is some progress made for either of them.
