The Google Drive Material Theme redesign complete with Dark Theme rolled out several months ago. However, Google's other office apps were left behind. The Material Theme revamp is finally rolling out to the Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides Android apps.

The Docs, Sheets, and Slides redesign matches up with the other Material Themed apps we've seen. The colored top bar is now plain white (or dark grey) with the app name centered. The blue, green, and yellow accent colors can still be found with items in the grid. The top bar also houses the search icon and a folder icon to open a file from Drive or local storage.

The FAB in the bottom right now has the familiar colorful + icon. The slide-out menu still has the same options as before, but the icons have been tweaked and the text is all in Google Sans. Opening a file reveals the same Material Theme elements: plain top bar and tweaked icons.

Overall, there's nothing out of the ordinary with these Material Theme redesigns. Google has been busy getting all of their apps ready for Android Q and the system-wide Dark Theme. Getting Docs, Sheets, and Slides up to date will go a long way toward making the OS look consistent. The updates should be rolling out right now to the Play Store. Personally, I have the update for Docs, but not Sheets or Slides.
