For anyone who does a lot of typing online, Grammarly has become an indispensable tool. In 2017, Grammarly released a keyboard for Android devices. The Grammarly Keyboard brings an elevated level of spelling and grammar checking that you don't find on stock keyboards. Today, the app is getting even better with support for showing synonyms of words you're entering.

A synonym is, of course, a word that means the same thing as another word, and they can be important for making your writing more engaging. You don't want to repeat the same word over and over again, after all. With the latest update, the keyboard app can show a list of synonyms while you're typing — just pause for a moment after typing a word and you will see synonyms appear in the suggestion area. You can also move your cursor to an earlier word to see synonyms for it.

This new feature is not enabled by default. You can turn it on by going into the Settings menu and toggling the switch next to "Synonyms." This is a pretty handy convenient feature for anyone who is constantly looking for new words. Grammarly Keyboard is great at helping people be better writers, and this feature extends that ability further. Look for the synonym feature to roll out starting today.
