HTC and T-Mobile Announce new myTouch

HTC has recently announced the latest addition to their myTouch range: a line of Android-powered devices designed exclusively for customers of the popular T-Mobile carrier.

The myTouch HD features a considerably higher specification than previous myTouch devices. In a refreshing twist, HTC has blessed the device with the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor found in the Desire HD, along with 768MB of RAM, a 3.8″ capacitive WVGA LCD, a 3.5mm headphone jack and two cameras (one front-facing 0.3MP sensor along with a 5MP sensor at the rear). One of T-Mobile’s key selling points for the device is that it will work with their newly launched 4G network and the phone is expected to run Froyo from launch.

The myTouch HD will be marketed as an affordable alternative to large-screen smartphones such as the Nexus One and the Desire and should be hitting T-Mobile some time in November. You can expect to see forums appear for the device in the coming weeks.
