The Huawei Mate 30 and its brethren had been curiously missing on the leaks radar, and credible information was hard to find for these phones till a while ago. The promotional poster for the Mate 30 Pro only popped up around late August 2019, showing off the quad-camera setup. Huawei confirmed the launch of the series at an event in Europe on September 19, 2019, and more renders showed off a total of seven cameras on the Mate 30 Pro. Now, Evan 'evleaks' Blass has shared renders of all the phones in the Huawei Mate 30 series, namely the Mate 30 Pro, Mate 30 Pro Porsche Design, Mate 30 and the Mate 30 Lite.

Clearly the most interesting and uber-premium smartphone in the lineup, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro Porsche Design sports a completely different look than other smartphones in the series. The back appears to come with a leather finish, and the phone will likely come with a case that has a stand built-in, aiding in propping up the phone on a desk as well as for holding and using it comfortably with one hand.

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is a familiar image by now, but seeing it in such a high-resolution leak does bring out some more of the subtleties present on Huawei's next flagship. You can spot the four rear cameras sitting within the circular camera enclosure on the back, with the LED flash on the side. Also visible are the three front cameras sitting within the notch. One can also appreciate the thin top and bottom bezels, and we also get a hint of the curved "waterfall" display.

The images above really bring out how curved the waterfall display really is, wrapping around the side of the phone instead of just spilling over the edge. It remains to be seen how this gorgeous phone feels in the hand and how this waterfall display affects practical use of the hardware.

After taking a look at its other siblings, the Huawei Mate 30 might come off as an uninteresting phone, but it might just turn out to be the most practical device in the series. The phone has two front cameras and what appears to be a flat display with thin bezels. This should vastly affect how the phone can be handled in a positive manner, as against the curved "waterfall" display trend. Much like the Mate 30 Pro, we can see the quad-rear camera setup on this device as well, but some variation in the sensors and lens is expected.

The Huawei Mate 30 Lite share little in terms of design language, other than the quad-rear camera setup. Again, we expect variations in the hardware setup. We can also spot the conventional fingerprint sensor present on the back of the device, as well as the display cutout on the front for the front camera. The Mate 30 Lite also appears to be a rebranded Huawei Nova 5i Pro from China.

The Huawei Mate 30 series is scheduled for launch on September 19, 2019. We expect the higher-end variants to make use of the new HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G processor. Current speculation also suggests that the phone series might ship without Google Play Services. We'll find out more this week.
