Huawei P40, P40 Pro, P40 Pro Premium Edition color variants shown off in leaked renders
Huawei’s flagship lineup for 2020, the Huawei P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro Premium Edition, is scheduled to launch on March 26th. We first learned about the devices back in December last year, when the company’s CEO, Richar Yu, confirmed that the Huawei P40 series will be the first to ship with its new HMS ecosystem. Soon thereafter, leaks regarding the upcoming devices started popping up online and we learned that the flagship P40 Pro could feature a newer periscope telephoto lens for 10x optical zoom. Then, earlier this year in January, leaked renders of the Huawei P40 series showed off a few key details about the three devices.
The leaked renders revealed that the regular Huawei P40 would feature dual punch-hole front cameras and Leica-branded triple rear cameras, while the P40 Pro would feature a quad-camera setup instead and a curved display up on the front. Renders of the top-of-the-line P40 Pro Premium Edition showcased the device with its five rear cameras and a more premium ceramic back. We also got our first look at all the color options for the Huawei P40, a Mint Green color variant of the P40 Pro, and the black and white variants of the P40 Premium Edition.
Now, renowned leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks) has shared another image of the upcoming Huawei P40 lineup which showcases all the color variants for the three devices. As with the previous renders, the Huawei P40 Pro Premium Edition is showcased in black and white color variants in the latest leaked image, which suggests that the device will only be available in two color options. The Huawei P40 and P40 Pro, on the other hand, have been showcased in five color variants each. If previous leaks are to believed, then the color options might be called Black, Blush Gold, Silver Frost, Deep Sea Blue, and Ice White. Surprisingly though, the Mint Green color variant of the P40 Pro that we’d seen earlier is nowhere to be seen. This leads us to believe that the color option might just be a special edition reserved for launch in specific regions only.
