I.C.E Card – Just In Case

I.C.E Card – Just In Case

Of all the applications developed, many are fun ways to pass the time or increase productivity. There are others, however, which serve a slightly more sombre albeit important purpose. I’m sure many of you are familiar with the old fashioned ICE (In Case Of Emergency) cards that can be carried on your person to relay important information, should something unfortunate happen.

Whether you already carry one of these or are suddenly realising that it might be a good idea, you might want to check out an application by XDA Recognized Developer Sdeba. The application effectively acts as a digital copy of the traditional ICE card which is stored on your phone. It contains all the relevant information that you’d expect it to.

  • Your Name
  • Three Emergency Contacts
  • Blood Type
  • Information Regarding Allergies / Medical Conditions

Unfortunately, accidents do happen and while I wouldn’t go so far as to say that this app should replace a hard copy ICE card it will certainly increase the chances of that all important information being relayed to the right person.

The latest version is available for free on the market and is now ICS friendly, you can find more infomation in the original release thread.
