Leaked Render Claims to Reveal the Galaxy Tab S3 with a Keyboard

The new Galaxy Tab S3 premium tablet from Samsung seems to finally be on the verge of its official reveal, after months of leaks and speculation.

What was originally rumored to be launched in the fourth quarter of last year had seemingly been delayed (or the rumor was just plain wrong) as another rumor pegged it for release during the first quarter of this year. Many were expecting it last year since the original Galaxy Tab S was launched in July of 2014 and its successor, the Galaxy Tab S2, was launched in September of 2015.

Releasing a new tablet year after year is less important than a smartphone these days, but there were still people anxiously waiting for Samsung’s next flagship tablet to be released so they can upgrade. Any more news about the Tab S3 fell pretty silent after that Q1 release rumor, but then that changed this month. Samsung sent out a press release for MWC 2017 and people started speculating they would launch the new tablet there. We even saw alleged pricing, specifications, and the month of release unveiled on that very same day.

Then last week we saw a render of what claimed to be our first look at the 2017 high-end tablet from Samsung. This was accompanied with an S Pen as it is believed that Samsung will include one with the Galaxy Tab S3. The S Pen looks flat compared to what we’re normally used to seeing since the stylus will allegedly not be stored inside the device itself. Considering previous rumors that the device will only be 5.6mm thick, this makes a lot of sense.

Then just last night, Evan Blass (@evleaks) posted a press render of what his sources tell him is the upcoming Galaxy Tab S3. Though we don’t get to see an S Pen in this render, we do get a look at what is assumed to be a 1st-party keyboard accessory. The device essentially looks identical to the 2015 model, but Samsung has most certainly upgraded the internal hardware, and the build materials are hopefully more premium this year.
