Update (10/1/19 @ 2:10 PM ET): Evan Blass has shared more images of the Surface Laptop 3 in new colors.

Microsoft is holding a launch event in New York City tomorrow, looking to unveil new Surface-branded hardware in the form of tablets and laptops. Of particular interest within these releases is a "Surface Pro" device that is said to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx SoC that will allow Windows to run smoothly on an ARM device. While we can patiently wait for a few hours for the launch event, those hungry for new information will be glad to know that Evan Blass has shared renders of the ARM-powered Surface, the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 and the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 tablet appears to share several design elements with its predecessor, the Surface Pro 6. What we can expect at tomorrow's event is a hardware refresh with 10th gen Intel processors on the inside, as well as the inclusion of a USB Type-C port.

Evan 'evleaks' Blass is referring to this device as the ARM-powered Surface, though Microsoft might get creative with a more distinct name. The device appears to take inspiration from the Surface Pro, but with smaller bezels. We can also spot a pen accessory as well as a type cover, which should help the device compete against the likes of the Apple iPad Pro. The device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx, claiming to offer performance that can rival that of the Intel Core i5 processor along with vastly superior battery life and Windows 10 Enterprise support.

The Surface Laptop 3 in its leaked render shows a design that adopts metal at most visible places. The laptop looks similar to previous Surface Laptops, though we can expect to see this with AMD processors and in 13-inch and 15-inch variants.

Evan also mentions that there is a dual-screen Surface that has not been pictured yet, so we can act surprised tomorrow when Microsoft unveils the same.

Update: More Colors

Evan Blass is back with more images of the Surface Laptop 3. We previously saw the black model and now we're seeing gold/rose gold, silver, and dark blue/teal. The rose gold model has the same finish as the black model, but the silver and blue feature a fabric material around the keyboard and mousepad. This is something Microsoft has used in the past with laptops and keyboard covers.
