Mid-range Samsung Galaxy spotted on TENAA with dual rear cameras
We’ve been hearing a lot about an upcoming Samsung Galaxy P30, a name which clearly takes a page out of Huawei’s book. While there are doubts about the device’s marketing name (PhoneArena believes it will be called the Samsung Galaxy A6s), we do have an idea about some of its specifications and the design. A new TENAA listing (via MySmartPrice) reveals some information about the upcoming mid-range Samsung smartphone with model number SM-G6200.
Possible Samsung Galaxy A6s Specifications
First, this particular device features a dual camera setup and a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. Earlier leaks had, seemingly incorrectly, pegged this particular device as being the first Samsung smartphone to have an in-display fingerprint sensor. It’s possible that this just isn’t the Samsung Galaxy P30, much as it is possible that there is simply another variant too. As we can see from the renders, there’s no notch present at the top of that 5.99-inch display, and there’s a set of dual cameras on the back. The device itself features a somewhat “non-Samsung” design, stepping away a bit from the company’s other smartphones. To accompany those specifications, it’s likely that we’ll also get a pretty decent Exynos or Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC such as the Exynos 7885 or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710. Lastly, there’s a 3,300mAh battery mentioned in the listing.
When it will launch though, we can’t really tell. It’s a safe bet that it will be soon though, as generally, TENAA certifications start to pop up close to a phone’s launch. It’s not a bad phone on paper, and if priced reasonably, it could be a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone market. Particularly in India, budget handsets reign supreme and it could be the case that the company is aiming to take on the likes of Xiaomi, Vivo, Honor, and Oppo. With the company launching a new device on October 11th, we may well be seeing the next Samsung Galaxy smartphone sooner rather than later.
