MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM released for the Poco F1
By now, it should be no surprise that the Xiaomi Poco F1 is shaping up to be a best-selling phone. It was launched in India on August 22, and it is now available in 65 countries. The Poco F1 is the first smartphone from Poco, a new online-only sub-brand of Xiaomi. Its high-end list of specifications includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB/8GB of RAM with 64GB/128GB/256GB of storage, 6.18-inch Full HD+ (2246×1080) IPS LCD, dual 12MP + 5MP (depth sensing) rear cameras, 20MP front-facing camera, and a 4,000mAh battery. The phone ships with “MIUI 9 for Poco” (with Poco Launcher) on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.
Kernel sources for the Poco F1 were uploaded on the day of its first sale. Xiaomi recently rolled out an update to improve camera processing and add AOSP-style navigation buttons. Bootloader unlock time on the device is now three days, down from 15 days, and an unofficial build of TWRP is already available for it. Now, Xiaomi has released MIUI 10 Global Beta 8.9.13 for the Poco F1.
MIUI 10 is the next version of Xiaomi’s highly popular MIUI user interface, and it comes with a new Recents menu as well as many AI features. MIUI 10 China Stable ROMs are now available for many devices. The good news is that MIUI 10 Global Stable ROMs are also now available for devices like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 5, Xiaomi Mi 6, Xiaomi Mi Mix, and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. Therefore, the Poco F1 should soon be getting MIUI 10 Global Stable as well.
