MIUI 10 China Beta for the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 now available

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 was launched in China last month. It’s an affordable Android tablet with a capable list of specifications including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 system-on-chip, 4GB of RAM paired with 64GB of storage, and an 8-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) 16:10 display. Being launched at a time when new Android tablet launches are few and far between, the Mi Pad 4 has better specifications than most Android tablets in its price range. In terms of software, ships with MIUI 9 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. Xiaomi has now released MIUI 10 China Beta 8.7.5 for the tablet.

MIUI 10 China Beta is intended for a Chinese audience but English language option is available and Google Play services can be sideloaded. MIUI 10 China was announced at the Xiaomi Xiaomi Mi 8 event in May. Separately, MIUI 10 China Alpha 8.7.2 is available for 11 Xiaomi devices.

MIUI 10 is a major upgrade in functionality over its predecessor. It brings a redesigned UI with a new app switcher, better performance with “AI” features, and single-camera portrait mode for supported devices.

MIUI 10 China Beta for the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 has a download size of 1.21GB. The recovery ROM can be downloaded here. Users looking for instructions to flash a recovery MIUI 10 ROM can read them here.
