Third Batch of MIUI 9 Global and China Beta ROMs Released for Remaining Xiaomi Devices

Back in July, Xiaomi officially announced the latest version of its custom skin, MIUI 9, along with the Mi 5X, the first smartphone to come running this new software out-of-the-box. The company has already released a full list of devices that will be getting the jump to MIUI 9.

While the stable release of MIUI 9 is still some weeks away at this point, the company has lately been inviting users to try out the beta version of its new software to squash any remaining bugs before the final release.

In the first wave, the company had rolled out the MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM for a handful of devices such as the flagship Mi 6 and Redmi Note 4. While the second batch saw, the MIUI 9 Beta Global ROM making its way to more devices including the Mi Mix, Mi Note 2, Mi 5, Mi Max 2 and more. However, there was still many popular devices yet to receive this Beta update.

Xiaomi has now announced on their MIUI forums that the third and final batch of MIUI 9 Beta Global ROM is now available for a range of supported Mi and Redmi devices.

The MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM v7.9.7 is now available for following devices:

  • Mi 5
  • Mi Max (32GB)
  • Mi 2/2S
  • Mi 4
  • Mi Note
  • Mi 4i
  • Redmi 3
  • Redmi 3S/3X
  • Redmi 2
  • Redmi Note 3 (Snapdragon)
  • Redmi Note 3 Special Edition
  • Redmi 4G
  • Redmi Note 2
  • Mi Max Prime
  • Redmi Note 4
  • Redmi Note 4G
  • Mi Note 2
  • Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus

Meanwhile, the company has also released the third batch of MIUI 9 China Beta ROM for following devices:

  • Mi Note
  • Mi 4 Mi 3
  • Mi 2/2S
  • Mi Pad 3
  • Mi Pad 2
  • Mi Pad 1
  • Redmi Pro
  • Redmi Note 4X MTK
  • Redmi Note 4

Since this is a beta ROM, you’ll need to flash them on your device via fastboot. However, if you’re already on MIUI Beta ROM, updating to the new version is fairly easy; just head over to the “Updater” application on your supported device, check for updates and you should see the MIUI 9 China Beta ROM v7.9.7 available for download.
