Wearables manufacturer Mobvoi is back again with another enticing pair of TWS earbuds, shortly after launching the Mobvoi Earbuds Gesture and TicWatch GTX smartwatch late last month. The new TicPods 2 Pro Plus is a follow up to the TicPods 2 Pro from earlier this year, and it comes with a couple of interesting improvements. Priced at $139.99, the Mobvoi TicPods 2 Pro Plus comes with an updated charging case design that features a new metal plate on the lid. While the earbuds themselves remain largely the same on the outside, Mobvoi has included a couple of new software features that justify the Pro Plus moniker. Firstly, the new TWS earbuds bring support for independent connections to each earbud via the Single Pairing technology updated from the latest Qualcomm ADK. The feature combines synchronization, selective data relay, and role-swap/handover to offer users a better TWS experience. It also includes support for smart role-swap/handover to balance the battery life of the two earbuds and extend playback times when using both earbuds.

Secondly, the TicPods 2 Pro Plus comes with improvements for the Quick Command feature that features support for two more commands. Quick Command 2.0 on the new TWS earbuds now supports “volume up” and “volume down” commands to help you seamlessly increase or decrease the playback volume. The earbuds also include support for all the Quick Commands that were introduced with the TicPods 2 Pro, including “play music,” “pause music,” “next song,” “previous song,” “pick up,” and “hang up.”

Additionally, the TicPods 2 Pro Plus includes improvements for the touch controls. The touch gestures for increasing/decreasing volume, triggering the voice assistant and accepting/rejecting calls now offer a better experience, and they can now be used on either earbud while they’re connected independently.
