Moto G7 and Moto G7 Plus press renders show waterdrop notch design again
The Moto G7 has been in the news since August. Out first look at the G7 was leaked photos of the device in the flesh. Then we got some renders that confirmed the design. Today, we have more renders of the Moto G7 and the Moto G7 Plus. As expected, the phones have a waterdrop notch and a chin for the Motorola logo.
As you can see, the devices are practically identical. The Moto G7 was one of the first devices we saw with the “waterdrop” notch design that is becoming more prevalent. The OnePlus 6T recently launched with a similar look. However, the thing that sticks out about the G7 design is not the notch. The bottom chin features the Motorola logo, which is something we rarely see on smartphones these days.
The G7 Plus is rumored to have a 6.4-inch display with Full HD+ resolution. The aspect ratio will be 19.5:9. The standard G7 will have a slightly smaller 6-inch display with the same resolution and aspect ratio. We don’t know much about the specs of the Plus model, but we do know a little bit about the standard G7.
The smaller G7 is rumored to have a Snapdragon 660 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 3,500 mAh battery. The dual camera setup is said to be 16+5MP on the rear and 12MP on the front. Based on those specs, it’s possible the G7 Plus will have the Snapdragon 710, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a slightly bigger battery. Though that is complete speculation.
These phones are expected to launch early next year and they should have Android Pie from the start.
