Motorola had been at the forefront of development in terms of mobile phones for several decades until almost a decade ago when competition from China hit it hard. It was eventually acquired by Lenovo and since then, the brand Motorola has been expanding its portfolio of mobile products while also venturing into accessories such as Moto mods. Today, the company entered the segment of smart TVs in partnership with Indian e-commerce giant, Flipkart. Motorola today announced an entire lineup of Android TVs in India, with the range starting at ₹13,999 (~$200) going all the way up to ₹64,999 (~$910).

Motorola's lineup of Android TV comprises six options with different sizes and resolutions. While these TVs bear the Motorola branding, Walmart-owned Flipkart is overseeing the manufacturing of these Android TVs. Notably, Flipkart also has its own brand of smart TVs in India – called MarQ – but these are not powered by Android TV OS and this is the differentiating factor between the two brands.

All of the Motorola Android TVs come with IPS panels which are marketed to support up to 1.07 billion colors. The panel are supposed to be "Super Bright" but the peak brightness values were not shared by the company. The Smart TVs in the lineup support Dolby Vision and HDR10 content.

In terms of sound, the Motorola-branded TVs come with tethered soundbar which is equipped with dual front-firing speakers with a power output of 30 watts. These speakers are tuned by DTS for "Tru Surround" sound output and Dolby Audio support.

These Android TVs are powered by a 2.25GHz octa-core processor with a Mali 450 GPU. There's 2.25GB RAM onboard along with 16GB of ROM. The smart TVs use MEMC technology which is supposed to ensure a lag-free experience, faster frame rates, and fewer frame drops – not just while watching content but also while playing games, which is something Flipkart and Motorola feel, the TVs will excel at. This is why, you'll get a free Bluetooth gamepad along with the TVs.
