Nokia 8.1 forums are now open

HMD Global launched the Nokia X7 in China just a couple of months ago and, as we’ve seen before, a number of OEMs rebrand their phones for various reasons. Some do it to have a unique smartphone series for a specific market while others do to it to differentiate between the software. This is what Nokia did with the X7 when they gave it a new name for the Android One program. If you buy the phone in China it comes with HMD Global’s Chinese software, but if you want the Android One version then the name has been changed to the Nokia 8.1.

The company made the Nokia 8.1 official on the 5th of this month and we’ve seen a lot of interest surrounding this specific version. The device comes with a 6.18-inch 1080p+ PureDisplay screen, a notch at the top, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, and 4GB of RAM. We welcome you to join us and the rest of the community drawn to this phone by visiting the dedicated XDA forum for it.
