Nokia 9 specifications revealed through Android Enterprise Recommended Catalog
The Nokia 9 PureView has been on our radar since all the way back in September. We’ve seen several rounds of leaks that show off this device and its odd-looking penta-camera setup. The latest report claimed the device may launch before MWC and a Snapdragon 855 variant will arrive later in the Summer. Now, the device is getting closer to official as it has appeared in the Android Enterprise Recommended catalog.
Android Enterprise Recommended is a program Google launched about one year ago. The program is meant to convince more companies to trust Android smartphones for enterprise use. Google gives devices the seal of approval if they meet certain requirements. HMD Global already has a handful of Nokia devices in the program and it looks like the Nokia 9 will join them.
According to the catalog listing, the Nokia 9 PureView has a 6-inch display, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, Android Pie, and NFC. There is also a small device render that matches up with previous images. We previously heard that the device would have 6GB of RAM and it’s very possible there will be multiple RAM/storage variants. Other rumored specifications include an in-display fingerprint scanner, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform, and 2880×1440 display resolution. The exact purposes of all five rear cameras are not yet known, but we can assume there will be a telephoto lens and wide-angle lens in there.
The Nokia 9 PureView is one of HMD Global’s most anticipated Nokia-branded devices. The “PureView” branding was reserved for Nokia’s best smartphone cameras in the past. We hope the Nokia 9 lives up to that precedent. Whether it’s before MWC or not, we should be seeing this phone soon.
