The Nubia Red Magic 3 can be described as more of a handheld gaming device with a phone attached, rather than the other way around. In our review, we found it to be an excellent performer and an even better device for gaming, although it's not without its flaws. One such flaw that we didn't touch on in our review is how a phone call can still interrupt your gameplay when in Gaming Mode. Devices from the likes of OnePlus have already figured that out - when a game is running, relegate a phone call to a notification at the top of the screen rather than pulling you out of the game entirely. The Nubia Red Magic 3 has just gotten an update in North America, according to XDA Member DJW35, which blocks incoming calls when Game Mode is activated.

Game Mode on the Nubia Red Magic 3 does a lot of cool things. You can see the temperature of your phone, the clock speed of the CPU and GPU, your network speed, toggle the fan, take screenshots, block incoming messages, and a whole lot more. It really is a complete package and is one of the most comprehensive gaming modes on an Android smartphone today. Adding more features and improvements will only serve to make it even better. The update comes in at 179.2MB, with a version number of NX629J_ENCommon_V1.15.

The update is only beginning to roll out, and companies typically send out updates to a small number of devices at first in case there are any issues or problems that weren't discovered in testing. As a result, it may be a while before the update comes to your device. If you don't want to wait, you can download the full zip file from this thread on our forums.
