Nubia Z20 launches with dual AMOLED displays, Snapdragon 855 Plus, and triple cameras

Last year, among the many attempts to increase screen-to-body ratio, the Nubia X launched with dual displays. Earlier this year, it was rumored that a successor would launch with the Snapdragon 855. Now, the Nubia Z20 is here with dual displays again and the upgraded processor.

The Nubia Z20 features a 6.41-inch AMOLED display up front with extremely thin bezels. On the back, there’s a secondary 5.1-inch AMOLED display. Like last year, there is no front-facing camera, not in a notch or hidden pop-up mechanism. The rear display allows you to use the rear cameras for selfies.

Speaking of cameras, Nubia has added a third one this time. The main camera is 48MP and it is joined by a 16MP 122.2-degree wide-angle camera and 8MP 3X zoom telephoto camera. Those extra cameras are not only great for standard photos, but they also come in handy for selfies.

As previously rumored, the Nubia Z20 is powered by the Snapdragon 855 Plus. It’s available with 6 or 8GB of RAM and 128 or 512GB of storage. The device is also packing a beefy 4,000 mAh battery and USB-C charging. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack, however. Like last year, Nubia has again gone with dual side-mounted fingerprint scanners. So no matter which way you’re using the Nubia Z20, you can scan your finger comfortably. Nubia has also added pressure-sensitive edges that can be programmed to do various tasks.

The 6GB/128GB Nubia Z20 is available for 3,499 yuan ($497) in China, while the 8GB/128GB model costs 3,699 yuan ($525). No word on pricing for the 512GB option was shared. This is an interesting device that likely won’t be available in a lot of regions. If you can get your hands on it, there’s a lot to offer at a reasonable price.
