NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet To Receive Lollipop Next Week

NVIDIA’s latest device in the SHIELD line, the succinctly named NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet, is set to beat all other tablet manufacturers that aren’t in the Nexus family to Lollipop. Announced today via their NVIDIA blog, the SHIELD tablet will be receiving the update beginning November 18 and is set to also unveil a new updated Dabbler app all made up with Material Design goodness.

XDA TV Producer Jordan highlighted the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet back in August, and NVIDIA has done a good job of keeping updates coming. In addition they have been increasing their TegraZone library of games designed for the Tegra family of chipsets, like the K1 found in the SHIELD Tablet. Like the Samsung Galaxy Note line of devices, the SHIELD Tablet includes a stylus which provides a great way to keep notes, draw, and otherwise interact with your tablet in ways other than with finger swipes and taps.

Be sure to look for a review of the new update on XDA TV soon, and if you have a device make sure to keep you eyes open for that sweet update.
