Smartphones are getting equipped with screens that are getting larger and larger. It seemed we had hit a stopping point when devices were using a 16:9 aspect ratio but once things started to shift to ~18:9 styles, it has become harder and harder for people to use their phones with one hand. We came up with our own application called One Handed Mode to help with this issue but XDA Member onehandyapps also has an application out called OH Web Browser (OH meaning One Handed).

The developer calls it the "world's first zero dangerous permission browser" and says permissions and privacy were first and foremost when it came to developing this web browser. This means that OH Web Browser doesn't use the following permissions at all in its code.

  • Calendar
  • Call Log
  • Camera
  • Contacts
  • Location
  • Microphone
  • Phone
  • Sensors
  • SMS
  • Storage

Beyond that, there are a lot of convenient features packed into this web browser. This includes gestures, a built-in ad-blocker, dark mode, the ability to save as web archive/PDF, private tabs, one-handed mode, support for multiple search engines, and more,
