OnePlus 6/6T get Fnatic Mode, DC Dimming, and August 2019 patches with OxygenOS 9.0.8/9.0.16

OnePlus is on a roll with security patches this time around. Their top-tier flagship, the OnePlus 7 Pro, received the August 2019 Security Patches before Google even got around to updating the security bulletin. Later on, the OnePlus 7 also received the update with the new security patches; followed by updates to the OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. The OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T also received the new security patches through new Open Beta releases, and now, OnePlus is bringing the same over to the stable release channel with new OxygenOS 9.0.8 and OxygenOS 9.0.16 updates respectively.

Alongside the new security patch, this update also brings the new Fnatic gaming mode from the OnePlus 7 Pro, as well as Quick Reply in Landscape Mode, new options for Zen Mode, and DC Dimming functionality.

The complete changelog for the update is as below:

    • Fixed an issue with apps failing to respond
    • Fixed an issue to unlock apps successfully using fingerprint when the screen recorder is turned on
    • Added Quick reply in landscape mode (Settings – Utilities – Quick reply in landscape)
    • Android security patch updated to 2019.08
    • General bug fixes and stability improvements
  • Launcher
    • Added password settings for Hidden Space
  • Gaming Mode
    • Introduced brand new Fnatic mode for an immersive gaming experience, More surprises on the way
  • Zen mode
    • Added additional Zen mode features
  • OnePlus Laboratory
    • Added the DC dimming feature
  • Communication
    • Support VoLTE/VoWiFi for Bouygues
