OnePlus 6T comes in a new Thunder Purple color for Europe and America

The recently launched OnePlus 6T is a hit – not just among consumers, but reviewers as well. Revered for its excellent battery life and teardrop notch, there’s a lot to love about the OnePlus 6T. The removal of the headphone jack and LED notification dot may be a deal breaker for some, but it’s already a company bestseller, at least in the US. In the US and Europe, the company only launched the Midnight Black and Mirror Black. We’ve seen the company launch the OnePlus 6T in Thunder Purple in China, but now it’s coming to both Europe and America. If you’d like to hear our initial thoughts on the device, you can check them out in part 1 of our review of the OnePlus 6T.

Generally speaking, a company will launch a new colour option for one of their devices to claw back some attention towards it. Given that the device recently launched, the new Thunder Purple OnePlus 6T is arriving a bit sooner than we would expect. Nonetheless, the Thunder Purple is a unique colour in that the company has never released a phone with a gradient coloring. The gradient goes from bright purple to black at the top, and there’s an S shape visible when viewing the device at the right angle.

The OnePlus 6T in Thunder Purple is going to be available from OnePlus’ own website from November 15th, starting at $579—the same price as the 8GB and 128GB Midnight Black and Mirror Black models. It is unknown how limited availability will be, but it’s probably a good idea to grab it soon enough to avoid disappointment. It is unknown if it will be available through T-Mobile. The device features an in-display fingerprint sensor, a teardrop notch, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple will feature 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
