We’re inching closer towards the launch of the next OnePlus flagship, and recent rumors indicate that we will be seeing multiple smartphones at the same event. At first, CAD renders of what was then known as the OnePlus 7 revealed an interesting notchless, fullscreen smartphone with a motorized selfie camera, and a triple rear camera setup. Yesterday, new CAD renders showed off the standard variant of the OnePlus 7, meaning that we had seen previously was the OnePlus 7 Pro variant. Now, new set of leaks for the OnePlus 7 Pro indicate that there may be enough of a punch in the upcoming flagship to compete against other premium flagship devices.

First, @OnLeaks shared further info about the purported 14th May launch event that OnePlus will be hosting for the OnePlus series. In this event, the company will be revealing three phones: the OnePlus 7, the OnePlus 7 Pro and the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G.

OnLeaks also mentions several details about the device. The OnePlus 7 will have a 6.4″ display, and the primary rear camera on the phone will be a 48MP sensor. The OnePlus 7 Pro will have a 6.64″ curved display, and the primary rear camera will be a 48MP shooter on this as well. Since the Pro has a triple rear camera setup, it will also be coming in with a Telephoto and Ultra Wide angle lens camera. It is unknown whether the 48MP sensor is from Sony or Samsung, and whether the second camera on the OnePlus 7 is the telephoto or ultra wide angle lens camera.

The second leak comes from @IshanAgarwal in conjunction with Android Central. According to them, the OnePlus 7 Pro will sport a Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display with a high refresh rate of 90Hz. This is a marked departure from OnePlus’s decision to stick with FHD resolution on their flagships, and we certainly appreciate the higher refresh rate. The Pro will also feature USB 3.1, a large 4,000 mAh battery, 30W Warp Charge, stereo speakers, and a better vibration motor. If all of this is indeed correct, then it appears that OnePlus is indeed listening to its consumers and fixing several of the key deficiencies from previous devices.

Ishan also claims that OnePlus will be launching the device on May 14 simultaneously in New York, UK and Bangalore.
