The new OnePlus has a 90Hz QHD+ OLED display, meaning it has one of the best smartphone displays on the market. Although OnePlus has added an “auto switch” option to display resolution settings, there’s no comparable mode for the display refresh rate—it’s either 60Hz or 90Hz. However, choosing 90Hz doesn’t lock everything to that refresh rate.
“Yes, the OnePlus 7 Pro supports a variable refresh rate that changes to 60Hz for scenarios like watching videos, camera app and in phone calls.” – Vito L., OnePlus Product Manager
Thus, you won’t have to worry about issues with videos because OxygenOS intelligently switches between the supported refresh rates.
