The OnePlus 7T was launched back in October last year, featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 Plus chip and a unique design. The device's circular camera module was unlike any other device in OnePlus' portfolio. And while that did create some structural issues, it made the OnePlus 7T one of the most iconic devices to come out of the company's stable. The design, coupled with the well-rounded hardware and affordable price tag, made the OnePlus 7T one of the best selling OnePlus devices in recent times, and OnePlus has continued to sell the device even though the OnePlus 8 Series has been available for several months.

We're on the edge of another OnePlus release in the form of the OnePlus 8T, so it wouldn't be wrong to presume that the company would eventually stop selling the OnePlus 7T. In order to commemorate the device's successful journey, the company has announced a special edition white color variant of the device in China. As you can see in the attached images, the special edition OnePlus 7T has a white back panel with a smooth finish and a silver frame.

The smooth finish on the back panel is reminiscent of the Silk White OnePlus 6, which had one of the most unique textures on a smartphone that I've ever experienced. Other than the white back panel, the special edition unit is no different from a regular OnePlus 7T, but OnePlus has revealed that it will be shipped in a unique way. OnePlus has experimented with other CMF models, but this is the one that is slated to reach in the hands of the consumers.

OnePlus 7T XDA Forums

As of now, OnePlus hasn't revealed any information about the device's availability outside of China. But if we take a look at the company's track record with special edition smartphone, the white OnePlus 7T could possibly be launched in select markets in the coming weeks. As mentioned earlier, the OnePlus 7T is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 Plus chip, coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The device features a 6.55-inch Optic AMOLED display, a triple camera setup on the back with a 48MP primary camera, and a 3,800mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. The device currently retails for $529.99 on Amazon and the special edition unit may be priced similarly.
