OnePlus unveils the smooth matte glass design of the OnePlus 7T
OnePlus is a company that has never shied away from teasing its upcoming products. Typically, before a new OnePlus phone is released, the company will trickle out details and small glimpses of the device. With the OnePlus 7T, however, we’re getting a full, clear look at the device, similar to how Google revealed the Pixel 4.
The image above comes courtesy of OnePlus CEO Pete Lau. We can see the “Haze Blue” color with the circular camera array from previous renders we’ve seen of the OnePlus 7T. Lau talks about how they launched phones in 2018 with “matte-frosted” glass. They are taking that to the next level with the OnePlus 7T and what he calls a “smooth matte surface with a brilliant metallic radiance.”
Lau doesn’t reveal the front of the OnePlus 7T, but from previous renders, it appears to be similar to the OnePlus 6T with a waterdrop notch. That display is said to be 6.55-inches Super AMOLED with 90Hz refresh rate. The triple cameras look to be a 48MP 26mm wide-angle lens at f/1.6, a 16MP 17mm ultra-wide-angle camera with a 117-degree FOV, and a 12MP 51mm telephoto lens at f/2.2 with 2x optical zoom.
Some of the other expected specifications include 8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, the Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, and 3,800mAh battery. OnePlus revealed yesterday that the OnePlus 7T, along with the OnePlus TV, will be announced on September 26th.
