OnePlus is expected to enter this year with not just two, but three phone releases in the first half of the year, coming in the form of the OnePlus 8, the OnePlus 8 Pro and the OnePlus 8 Lite. While the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will likely pick up the baton from the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro respectively, the OnePlus 8 Lite would mark OnePlus' return to a lower price point after the OnePlus X from 2015. These new devices from OnePlus could also mark a first for the company -- being the first set of smartphones from the company to come with wireless charging support.

@OnLeaks had alluded to wireless charging support on the OnePlus 8 back when it was first leaked by him. Leaker @Samsung_News_ aka Max J. then recently alluded to wireless charging support on upcoming OnePlus phones with a tweet that mentioned "Charge like a pro".

Max J. clarified that the image was for illustration only. The image was also somewhat generic and did not specifically mention that the device conceptualized was a OnePlus phone. All we could figure out were the curved side edges and the punch-hole camera, so there was definitely room for interpretation.

@OnLeaks now has backed Max J.'s claims, and both of their claims stem from different sources. This adds significant weight behind the rumor of wireless charging finally making an appearance on a OnePlus device.

It is still unknown which of the three phones will support wireless charging. @OnLeaks had talked about wireless charging only in the supplementary article accompanying the OnePlus 8 renders while omitting the same for the supplementary articles for the other two phones. Max J., on the other hand, alludes to the feature being marked for the Pro variant. In his follow-up, @OnLeaks uses "series", which could mean that all three phones might come with wireless charging support. If the rumor is indeed true, these would be the first smartphones from OnePlus to come with wireless charging, despite phones including and after the OnePlus 6 sporting a glass back.

We attempted to locate further information on wireless charging, but are unable to corroborate at this stage, and hence, do not have an independent and confident conclusion.
