OnePlus Announces Extended Warranty In India
In an attempt to revamp their customer support system on a wide scale, OnePlus India has announced extended warranty support for Indian users.
OnePlus One as a device, continues to remain a stellar piece of tech at an incredible price. However, the catch with the OnePlus One has been the hardware issues that one may chance upon during use. The matters were made worse by the fact that users have had troubles with OnePlus and its Customer support, with many preferring to return the device than go through the harrowing experience that was presented with repair.
The company is now trying to make amends. On the Indian front, OnePlus India has announced an extension of 3 months to the warranty period if service related issues remain pending in the customer support center for more than 15 days. This advantage is available to all OnePlus One smartphones in India, even those purchased from the international website prior to the Amazon.in exclusive Indian launch, and also extends to future OnePlus smartphones. However, in case of disagreements on the devices on which this advantage is applicable, OnePlus will have the final call, which riles up the cynic in us as there may be a fine print somewhere.
Nonetheless, the company is atleast trying to make things right. Earlier in the week, they had also added a toll free number for customer support, and this announcement is an attempt to give relief to cases which faced delays. We hope the company continues on this path to post-sales customer satisfaction if they wish to become a prominent name in the Indian as well as the Global market.
