Earlier this year in February, a report from Counterpoint Research revealed that OnePlus overtook Samsung to become the top-selling premium smartphone brand in India last year. While its devices have undoubtedly played a major role in helping the company achieve this feat, its impeccable after-sales service has also been a deciding factor for many buyers. In a bid to strengthen its offline presence and after-sales support in the country, OnePlus recently announced that it will be opening 100 new Experience Stores across 50 cities. Now, in order to streamline smartphone repairs in India even further, OnePlus has announced a new after-sales service initiative.

As per a recent press release from the company, OnePlus will now be offering doorstep repair services in select cities across the country. The company has already run a successful six-month pilot program for the new initiative and it's now available across Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune. So if you're facing any issues with your OnePlus device and you live in one of these aforementioned cities, you can now apply for doorstep repairs via the OnePlus Care app. Within the app, you'll be able to register for the doorstep repair service and select a convenient time slot for a OnePlus engineer to visit your address. Along with the doorstep repair service, OnePlus is also providing a free pick-up and drop-off service for convenient smartphone repairs.

Thanks to this new on-site doorstep repair service, you can now rest assured that you're only being charged for the parts that are being replaced and that your personal data isn't being copied or misused. OnePlus claims that it's the only global brand to offer a doorstep repair service, however, companies like Xiaomi and Realme also offer a similar service in India. While neither Xiaomi or Realme will repair your device at your address, they do offer a free pick-up and drop-off facility for smartphone repairs.
