OnePlus prides itself as beings a community-oriented manufacturer. The developers and engineers of the company are regularly collecting the feedback from their own forums. That's where they interact with users and beta testers to collect information. The forum's application, simply named "Community," is built into all currently supported OnePlus devices. You can start posting to the forum after a simple authorization. The app occasionally gets updated from the Play Store, just as it did a few days ago. OnePlus Global Community Manager David Y announced yet another update which brings in a highly requested feature.

Community app version 2.6.0 Beta brings dark mode. Adding dark theme support to applications has been a trend lately and we're all for OnePlus hopping on board. If you want to try it out, first you have to sign up for the beta testing of the app. Then you can simply download it, log in, navigate to your profile, and toggle the Dark Mode. Per my observations, it still needs some work. For example, icons are very dim in the navigation panel at the bottom. Though, we should expect OnePlus to make improvements by the time the Community app hits the stable channel.

The dark mode is basically the only new feature in this update. Apart from that, the changelog on the Play Store only mentions bug fixes and optimizations. OnePlus Community 2.6.0 should be available as a stable version pretty soon. Until then, you can follow the instructions from the paragraph above to test the app. This is another step in the direction of having all of your apps in dark mode.
