Android 8.0 Oreo may have finally started to hit some devices, but not many -- some users will have to wait months before they get an official upgrade. But thanks to the wonderful XDA development community, new unofficial Oreo ROMs are constantly popping up on the forums, and one of the latest is Team OpenKirin's Android 8.0 Oreo port for the Huawei P8 Lite.

It's not perfect, though. There are a few bugs in the OpenKirin's ROM which prevent the Huawei P8 Lite's Radio Interface Layer, Bluetooth, NFC, camera, gyroscope, compass, and other components from working properly. (If you're wondering why that is, check out this article about how developers test hardware features when they're working with new versions of Android.) But if those shortcomings don't bother you, head to the link to give it a try.
