The OPPO Reno series has been an interesting series in 2019. Back in April, the OPPO Reno series launched in China with the Snapdragon 855 SoC, 10x zoom, and a unique shark fin-like pop-up camera. There are three different models in the OPPO Reno family: the "standard" model, the Reno 10x Zoom, and the Reno 5G. The company has announced that these devices will be launching in the UK next month.

First, some history about OPPO and the UK. It was only earlier this year that OPPO smartphones officially launched in the UK. The OPPO Find X and Oppo RX17 Pro are currently available in the UK through Carphone Warehouse. The UK is part of OPPO's large global presence, which now has over 250 million users. The Reno UK launch comes after the series arrived in Switzerland earlier this month, making the Reno 5G the first 5G phone in Europe.

Here is a breakdown of the OPPO Reno series specifications:

The Reno 10x Zoom and Reno 5G are the high-end models and they're essentially identical. Unlike a lot of 5G variants, the Reno 5G is the exact same physical size and it has the same battery capacity as the non-5G version. That means they both have the Snapdragon 855 SoC, and the triple rear camera setup with 10X zoom and ultra-wide sensor. One of the few areas where they differ is RAM and storage as the 5G model doesn't have the lower 6GB/128GB option.

The standard Reno is a slight downgrade with the Snapdragon 710 SoC and a smaller  3765mAh battery. It also only has a dual rear camera setup that does not include the 10x zoom capabilities. However, it still has 6/8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, the big display (slightly smaller at 6.4-inches) with 91.3% screen-to-body ratio, and the quirky shark fin pop-up camera.

OPPO Reno UK Pricing & Availability

The OPPO Reno series will be launching soon in the UK. The standard Reno will be launching first, on June 5th, for £449. Next, the Reno 10x Zoom will launch a week later, on June 12th, for £699.
